Tatara

Tatara is one of the Byakko seven of the western quadrant, possessing control over plant life. His mission is to protect the Byakko no Miko, Suzuno, but he didn't only protect her because she was his Miko, but because he fell in love with her. After Byakko was summoned, Tatara waited for the return of Suzuno to his world. He is very dedicated to causes, and guarded the shrine that held the Byakko Shinzaho--Suzuno's mirror. Even though it's years after the calling of Byakko, he still appears around 20 because of spell cast over him by a fellow Byakko Seishi, Subaru.

In Tokyo, Suzuno lived still as an old woman. But she had been heartbroken ever since she had left Tatara. But somehow sensing that Tatara had died, Suzuno herself passed away. But at the time of her death, she reunites with Tatara, forever.
